My name is Wendy Bretz and I currently live in a small town located in Western New York along Lake Erie. I am a full-time working mother to an adorable, energetic little girl named Hannah.
I started scrapbooking about 8 years ago when Hannah was born. She was a true gift from God and she has changed my life in so many ways that I can't even begin to describe.
My style of scrapbooking is very clean, simple and graphic. I have been published in Creative Keepsakes, Scrapbook Etc, Simple Scrapbooks and Scrapbook Trends Magazines.
I am a 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame Winner and was previously a Garden Girl at Two Peas In A Bucket.com.
I am on Making Memories Design Team and I also create for Creative Memories. I create Digitally for Design House Digital and work directly with Karla Dudley Designs.
Since I began scrapbooking I have met some incredible people who have guided, encouraged and taught me a lot throughout the past six years. I look forward everyday to talking with friends I have met and creating new designs for layouts my daughter can one day admire.
Today I'm going to be mentioning another Tip for you when using your Making Memories Slice Fabrique.
As you already might know, the Slice can cut through many different types of materials. As with cardstock, fabric has different textures and thicknesses. So when you are applying your spray adhesive to your mat be sure you spray enough glue to fully secure your fabric. If you do not have enough on your mat when your blade is cutting your desired shape it might "drag" your fabric or tear it. Testing a small corner is always works good for me :) (And don't forget to add your fusible web to your fabric before cutting.)
Here is a short video where Jenny explains how to apply the adhesive to your mat. Have a GREAT Day!
If you have yet to try OR purchase the Slice Fabrique yet you need to do so! :)
The cool thing about this version of the Slice is you can use it on almost every kind to material used in quilting or sewing.
In the picture below you will see this wall hanging was created and made with the Slice Fabrique using Felt. She used Felt and appliqued it to the squares on the quilt.
There are so many options and design cards that you can use to create cute projects like this :)
