Now what is better than 1 Tip using the Making Memories Slice?
How about 2 TIPS! hehe
Well, my FIRST tip is when using the shadow feature you have to remember that the shadow is always going to cut LARGER that the original size shape you want to have.
For example, if you are cutting a 3" letter G, the shadow of the letter with be slightly larger than the 3" cut.
So, if you plan your layout and want to use 4" designs...the Slice will automatically change your setting to a 3 1/2" size.
The reason is...the Slice can only cut up to a 4" design, therefore, it is impossible to cut a 4" shadow.
My SECOND tip is using the shadow feature is not only so you can add a drop shadow to your design, you can also create OPEN designs.
As you see in the picture above, the "&" symbol on the right is my original 3 1/2" cut.
I then kept the Slice in place and changed the setting to shadow, I was then able to create the cool "open" symbol which gives it a whole new look.
Try it out :) You can really come up with some pretty cool designs!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

What an amazing tip! i NEVER would have figured that out for myself! I am still making the mistake of increasing my size a 1/2 inch when cutting the shadow!
Thanks for another great tip here~
