Wall ART using The SLICE

One night, a few weeks ago, I decided to create this with my Slice:

I bought this frame about 6 years ago and until recently I never used it!

It's a big frame, 36" x 12"  

I have this hanging in my living right now and just LOVE how it turned out.

Now mind you, I used A LOT of my Design Cards to create it but, you can totally make one of these with the Cards you have.

It took me a few hours but the only thing I used was, White Cardstock to create the letters and words and I backed it with Kraft Cardstock.

It fits perfectly in my living room and it's something that will never get old or boring. :)

I was excited when my friend Stacy asked me to create her daughter's Graduations Party Invitation.

Since her daughter is my babysitter and Hannah just loves when she comes over I couldn't say no :)

Here's the invites:

 

Layering Using The Making Memories Slice

One of my FAVORITE features of the Slice is the ability to layer.

The new Slice Design Cards have option where you can choose to "mirror" or "shadow" your design that you want to cut.

If the Design card you have has the symbol MS+ on it then you have that option.

(the MS+ mean - Mirrow, Shadow and the + means you have the option to speed your slice up)

For this project I am working on I used the All Star Design Card to cut my letter "H" out.

I first cut a 3" Regular letter H out of Black Cardstock.

Next, I cut another 3" H out of white cardstock.

And leaving the Slice right where it was, I double arrowed over and used the shadow setting to create a border around the 3" H.

I then adhered the White outline H on my cardstock and using Foam squares, I layered my Black H over the White to pop it out.

The possiblities are ENDLESS using the Slice.

I just LOVE IT!

I do remember that great post. Thanks for the opportunity to win some SLICE foam. I love the versatilitiy of SLICE for so many different types of crafts. It is also the best tool I can think of for cutting fabric letters for quilting, as well as so many cute applique' designs.

Slice Storage

Do you have a Slice?  (If not...go get one right now.  lol!!)

What do you carry it in when you goto to crops, or your friends house's, or just down stairs to Slice in front of the TV while your husband or kids have control of channel it's on.
