Hi Everyone!
Today I'm excited to show you a little embellishment I made using the Making Memories Slice Embossing Tips. (And don't forget to leave a comment at the end. You will be entered to WIN a set of these awesome Tips!)
The cool thing about these is that it comes with three different tips which allows you to interchange them in and out and create different depths of your design you are creating. For this butterfly, I used the medium one.
Just like you when you change your blade on the Slice, use your wrench to put your embossing tip in. I find that once you tighten it all the way (snug but not too tight) then turn it back a 1/4" This gives me the perfect embossing "depth" I like. You can play around a bit with it to get the desired look you like.
Another cool thing about the Making Memories Embossing Tips is that not only does it emboss, it debosses too! With the MS+ Design Cards allowing you to Mirror your image you can create letters and designs that are debossed on your project.
Here is the Step by Step Embellishment I created:
1. Using Making Memories Slice Vellum and the Bravissimo Design Card emboss a 2 1/2" Butterfly.

2. Make sure you mark with a pen or pencil around the corners of your slice so you know where to re-place your Slice when it is time to cut out the Butterfly.

3. Change your Embossing Tip to a Blade and using the Shadow feature cut a 2 1/2" Butterfly. Make sure you line up your Slice so it with cut perfectly around your embossed shape.

4. Next, cut a 2 1/2" Butterfly out of Making Memories NEW Dilly Dally Patterned Paper.

5. I used the negative space of the Butterfly and glued it in the center of the wings.

6. Then I cut another Butterfly at 3 1/2" out of another sheet of Dilly Dally Paper.

7. To finish, I adhered the two Butterlies together using a Brad from the Dilly Dally Collection.

There you go! :)
A cute little embellishment you can use on any layout, card or project you create!
